Gamma

AI tool that turns prompts into presentations, documents and websites

Freemium

What is Gamma?

Gamma is an AI tool for creating presentations, documents and simple websites. You describe a topic or paste in notes, and it generates a structured set of “cards” with layouts, text and images that you can edit. You can share the result as a link or export it to PDF, PowerPoint, PNG or Google Slides.

Quick facts

  • Made by: Gamma, a company founded in 2020
  • Free plan: Yes, with 400 one-time AI credits that do not refresh, a Gamma badge on your work and up to 10 cards per prompt
  • Paid plans: Plus, Pro and Ultra for individuals, Team and Business for workspaces, and custom Enterprise
  • Works on: Web, with API access on higher plans
  • Pricing last checked: October 2026, using several recent published sources. Prices are often shown per seat and may appear in euros for some regions, so confirm on Gamma’s official pricing page.

What Gamma is best at

  • A fast first draft: turn a prompt, outline or document into a full deck in minutes.
  • Design without design skills: layouts, themes and images are chosen for you and are easy to change.
  • Beyond slides: one-page documents and small websites from the same content.
  • Sharing and analytics: share by link, and see viewing analytics on higher plans.
  • Editing with AI: ask the assistant to rewrite, shorten or restyle parts of a deck.

Plans and pricing

Plan Approximate price What it adds
Free $0 400 one-time credits, up to 10 cards per prompt and a Gamma badge. Recent sources report PDF, PowerPoint, PNG and Google Slides export, though older ones say PowerPoint export was paid.
Plus About $9 per seat per month billed annually, or about $12 monthly 1,000 monthly credits, no Gamma badge and better AI image models.
Pro About $18 per seat per month billed annually, or about $20 to $25 monthly 4,000 monthly credits, custom branding, analytics, API access and premium models.
Ultra About $90 per seat per month billed annually, or about $100 monthly 20,000 monthly credits and access to the most advanced models.
Team and Business About $20 and $40 per seat per month, with minimum seat counts Shared workspaces, with Business adding stronger admin and security controls.
Enterprise Custom quote For large organisations.

On paid plans only certain actions use credits, such as the AI agent’s edits, the most advanced models and API calls, and unused credits are reported to roll over up to twice your monthly amount. The free plan’s credits never refresh, so it works as a one-time trial. Extra credits can be bought as an add-on. Confirm all figures on Gamma’s official page.

Best for

  • People who need a good-looking deck quickly and do not want to design slides from scratch.
  • Founders, teachers and teams producing pitches, lessons, updates and briefs regularly.
  • Anyone who wants a link-shareable, web-style alternative to a static slide file.

Less suited to

  • Strictly branded corporate templates that must match an existing PowerPoint master exactly.
  • Workflows built around PowerPoint features, since some users report that exports need tidying up.
  • Users who need unlimited free creation, because the free credits are one-time.

How to get started

  1. Sign up for the free plan and generate a short deck from a one-paragraph prompt.
  2. Edit the outline first, then let Gamma build the cards so the structure matches your message.
  3. Check every fact, number and image in the result before you present it.
  4. Try an export to PDF or PowerPoint early, so you know how it looks in your final format.
  5. Move to Plus when you want to remove the badge, and to Pro for branding, analytics and API access.

Prompt ideas to copy

Create a 10-card pitch deck for [product] covering problem, solution, market, product, traction, business model, team, competition, financials and the ask. Keep each card to a headline and three short bullets.
Turn these meeting notes into a six-card update for stakeholders: what we did, results, risks, decisions needed and next steps.

[paste notes]
Build a 12-card lesson on [topic] for [age group], with a learning goal on the first card, one example for each concept and a short quiz at the end.
Make a one-page project brief from this text with sections for goal, scope, timeline, owners and risks.

Limitations and things to watch

  • Generated slides can contain wrong facts or generic wording, so review and edit them.
  • Free credits run out quickly and do not come back.
  • Exports to PowerPoint may need layout fixes, so test before an important presentation.
  • Plans, credits and regional prices change often.

Alternatives
