This Cookie policy explains how Promptsio (promptsio.com) uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Questions: [email protected].
What cookies and similar storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, keep small pieces of information in your browser so a site can remember things like your sign-in or your theme. We use “cookies” in this policy to mean both.
The types we use
| Category | What it is for | Examples on Promptsio | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Make the site work and keep it secure | Sign-in cookies that keep you signed in, a cookie that remembers a trusted device if you choose that, and spam and abuse checks such as Cloudflare Turnstile when it is enabled | No. The site cannot work properly without them. |
| Preferences | Remember your choices | Your light or dark theme, prompts you save before you sign in, and whether you dismissed the announcement bar. These are kept in your own browser. | Treated as functional. You can clear them in your browser. |
| Statistics | Understand how the site is used so we can improve it | Analytics tools, only if we enable them | Yes, where the law requires it |
| Advertising and affiliate | Show or measure ads and affiliate referrals | Advertising is not currently enabled. If we enable it, or when you click an affiliate link, the advertiser or affiliate network may set its own cookies. | Yes, where the law requires it, for advertising cookies |
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by other companies whose services we use, such as spam protection, analytics or advertising and affiliate partners. Those companies control their own cookies and handle your information under their own policies. We list the main providers in our Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Cookie banner or preferences: where we show a consent banner, you can accept, reject or customise non-essential cookies, and change your mind at any time.
- Browser settings: you can delete or block cookies in your browser. Instructions are in your browser’s help pages. Blocking necessary cookies will stop sign-in from working, and clearing local storage will remove saved preferences and prompts you saved before signing in.
- Signed-in saved items: prompts and items you save while signed in are stored with your account, not only in your browser. See your dashboard.
- Global privacy signals: where the law requires us to respect signals such as Global Privacy Control, we will.
How long cookies last
Some cookies last only until you close your browser (session cookies). Others last longer, for example to keep you signed in on a trusted device or to remember your theme. You can remove them at any time in your browser.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie policy, for example when we add or remove a service. The date at the top shows the latest version.
