Social media content burns out fast because most people approach it the same way every day: open the app, stare at the blank post box, panic slightly. These twenty-four prompts are split by what you’re actually trying to do — write a hook, plan a month, reply to a comment — so you’re never starting from nothing.
Hooks and openers
Write ten hooks for one piece of content
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
I'm posting about [topic]. Write 10 different opening lines/hooks for this post, each using a different approach (a question, a bold claim, a number, a mistake I made, a myth I'm correcting). Keep each under 15 words.
Turn a boring fact into a scroll-stopping hook
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Here's the actual point I want to make: [your point, stated plainly]. Turn this into a hook that would make someone stop scrolling, without misrepresenting what the post is actually about.
Write a hook based on a common mistake
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
What's a common mistake people make with [topic]? Write a hook that calls out the mistake in a way that makes the reader want to know if they're doing it too.
Write a hook that asks a question your audience actually has
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
My audience is [describe your audience]. They often wonder about [common question or pain point]. Write 5 hooks that open with that question in different phrasings.
Captions by platform
Write an Instagram caption with a natural CTA
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Write an Instagram caption for a post about [topic/image description]. Conversational tone, 2-3 short paragraphs, ending with a natural call to action (a question, not a demand) that invites comments.
Write a LinkedIn post that isn’t corporate-sounding
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Write a LinkedIn post about [topic/lesson/experience]. First person, specific, avoids generic business-speak like "synergy" or "circle back." Should read like a person wrote it, not a brand account.
Write a tweet/X thread from a longer idea
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Turn this idea into a thread of [number] short posts, each one able to stand alone but building toward the next. First post needs to work as a hook on its own.
IDEA:
[describe your idea or paste a longer piece of writing]
Write a TikTok/Reels script from a talking point
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Turn this talking point into a 30-45 second video script with: an opening line for the first 2 seconds, the main point in the middle, and a closing line that prompts a follow or comment.
TALKING POINT:
[your point]
Write a Facebook post for an older, less terminally-online audience
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Write a Facebook post about [topic] for an audience that's less used to internet slang and fast-paced content. Warmer, slightly longer, more explanatory than a typical Instagram caption.
Write a Pinterest pin description that’s actually searchable
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Write a Pinterest pin description for [content/product], including natural keyword phrases someone might search for, without it reading like a keyword list.
Comments, replies and community
Reply to a supportive comment without a generic “thank you”
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Someone commented: "[paste the comment]" on my post about [topic]. Write a reply that's warm and specific to what they actually said, not a generic thank-you.
Reply to a critical comment without getting defensive
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Someone commented critically: "[paste the comment]". Help me write a reply that acknowledges their point where it's fair, corrects it where it's wrong, and doesn't sound defensive either way.
Turn a common question into a pinned reply
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
I keep getting asked "[question]" in the comments. Write a clear, friendly answer I can save and reuse as a reply, that doesn't feel copy-pasted even though it is.
Start a conversation instead of just posting
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Write a post about [topic] specifically designed to prompt discussion in the comments -- posing a genuine question rather than a rhetorical one, on a topic people are likely to have differing opinions about.
Content calendars and planning
Build a month of content from one core topic
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
My core topic/niche is [topic]. Build me a month's worth of post ideas (aim for [number] posts) that approach it from different angles -- educational, personal story, opinion, behind-the-scenes, curated tips -- so it doesn't feel repetitive.
Turn one piece of pillar content into a week of posts
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Here's a longer piece of content I made [describe it or paste it]. Break it into 5-7 smaller social posts, each focused on one idea from it, spread across the week.
Plan content around a seasonal or recurring event
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
I want to plan content around [event/season/holiday relevant to your niche]. Give me 5 content ideas that connect to the event without feeling forced or generic.
Balance content types across a week
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Here's what I posted this week: [list your posts and their type/topic]. Looking at the balance, what type of content am I missing (educational, personal, promotional, entertaining) that would round out the mix?
Batch a week of captions in one sitting
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
I'm going to describe 5 posts I have planned. Write a caption for each in the same voice, varying the structure so they don't all read the same way.
POSTS:
[describe each post briefly]
Bios, profiles and about sections
Write a bio that fits a strict character limit
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Write me a bio for [platform] that fits within [character limit]. It should cover who I am, what I do, and who I help, in that priority order if space runs out.
Write an “about” section that isn’t a resume
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Write an "about" section for my [platform] profile. I want it to sound like a person talking, not a LinkedIn summary -- specific details about what I actually do and why, not generic claims.
FACTS ABOUT ME:
[list what you do, your background, what makes you distinct]
Analytics and improving over time
Figure out why a post underperformed
This post didn't perform as well as usual: [paste the post and rough stats if you have them, e.g. reach/engagement compared to your average]. Give me 3 plausible reasons, ranked by likelihood, not just a generic list of "best practices."
Turn a high performer into a repeatable format
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
This post did unusually well: [paste the post]. Identify what specifically might have worked about it (hook, format, topic, timing) so I can try to repeat the pattern rather than just guessing.
Write a content audit summary
Fill in the blanks below, or click a highlighted word in the prompt.
Here's a list of my last [number] posts with rough engagement notes. Summarize what themes or formats are working, what's underperforming, and one specific thing to try next.

Frequently asked questions
Should every post have a call to action?
No — some of the best-performing content simply gives value and lets engagement happen naturally. Reserve explicit CTAs for posts where you genuinely have a next step worth asking for, and let the rest breathe.
How do I stop my captions from all sounding the same?
Feed in your own specific details — a real story, an actual number, a genuine opinion — rather than asking for a caption about a topic in the abstract. Generic input produces generic output regardless of the platform.
Is it obvious to an audience when a caption is AI-written?
Often, yes, especially with certain tells (overuse of em dashes, “In today’s fast-paced world,” excessive emoji patterns). The prompts here that ask you to supply your own facts, stories, or voice samples produce noticeably less generic results than ones that don’t.
