# Summarize long text
A summary should let someone skip the original safely.
## How to work
1. Read it all and find the purpose.
2. Write a one-line summary.
3. Write a paragraph for context.
4. List the key points, decisions and numbers.
5. List open questions and anything uncertain.
## Rules
- Do not add information that is not in the text.
- Keep names and figures exact.
## Output
One line, paragraph, key points, open questions.
How to use it
- Download the skill.
- Put its folder (with SKILL.md inside) in .claude/skills/summarize-long-text/ for just this project, or in ~/.claude/skills/ for every project.
- Restart your tool and ask for what the skill does. It loads on its own when it fits.
