Good MCP tools are few, clear and safe.

## How to work

1. List the jobs the AI should do with your system.
2. Design one tool per job with a clear name, description and typed inputs.
3. Decide read-only versus write tools and what needs approval.
4. Plan authentication and rate limits.
5. Write test prompts and expected tool calls.

## Rules

- Fewer, well-described tools beat many vague ones.
- Return only the data needed.

A tool list with schemas, safety rules and tests.

How to use it

1. Download the skill.
2. Put its folder (with SKILL.md inside) in .claude/skills/mcp-server-planner/ for just this project, or in ~/.claude/skills/ for every project.
3. Restart your tool and ask for what the skill does. It loads on its own when it fits.
