# Changelog from commits

A changelog is for users, not for developers.

## How to work

1. Read the commits or pull requests since the last release.
2. Drop internal noise (merge commits, formatting, CI tweaks).
3. Group what is left under Added, Changed, Fixed, Removed, Security.
4. Rewrite each entry in plain language about the effect on the user.
5. Put breaking changes at the top with upgrade notes.

## Rules

- Follow the Keep a Changelog layout unless the project has its own.
- One line per change.

## Output

A changelog section with the version and date, ready to paste.

How to use it

  1. Download the skill.
  2. Put its folder (with SKILL.md inside) in .claude/skills/changelog-from-commits/ for just this project, or in ~/.claude/skills/ for every project.
  3. Restart your tool and ask for what the skill does. It loads on its own when it fits.

Try it

Write the changelog for version 2.4.0 from these commits.
