0 prompts

Ten prompts for learning something new faster: roadmaps, explanations at different levels, quizzes, flashcards, practice and gap-finding. AI can be wrong, so check key facts against textbooks, official documentation or your teacher, especially before exams or professional work.

How to use this pack

  1. Tell the AI your current level and how much time you have.
  2. Learn actively: answer quiz questions yourself before reading the answers.
  3. Check anything important against a trusted source.

1. Learning roadmap

I want to learn [topic] in [time] with [hours] hours a week. My current level is [level]. Build a week-by-week plan with goals, practice tasks, what to read or watch (types of resources, not invented titles) and a final project.

2. Explain at three levels

Explain [concept] at three levels: a 10-year-old, a beginner adult and an experienced practitioner. Keep each under 100 words and give one example for each.

3. Quiz me

Ask me 8 questions about [topic], one at a time, increasing in difficulty. Wait for my answer, then tell me if I am right, correct me kindly and explain why.

4. Flashcards

Turn these notes into 15 flashcards (question and answer), focusing on ideas I am likely to forget. Use only my notes: [paste notes]

5. Find my gaps

Here is my explanation of [topic]: [paste]. Point out mistakes, missing pieces and what to study next. Be specific and kind.

6. Worked examples

Give me 3 worked examples of [type of problem], from easy to hard. Show each step and explain why it is done. Then give me 2 similar problems to try, and wait for my answers before showing solutions.

7. Summarise a chapter

Summarise this text into key ideas, definitions and 3 questions to test my understanding. Use only the text provided: [paste]

8. Compare and contrast

Compare [concept A] and [concept B]. Use a table of similarities and differences, a simple analogy for each and common mistakes people make confusing them.

9. Spaced review plan

Create a spaced-repetition review schedule for these topics over [number] weeks, with what to review on each day and 5-minute self-test questions: [list topics]

10. Teach it back

Act as a curious student. I will explain [topic] to you. Ask me questions when something is unclear or skipped, and at the end tell me which parts I explained well and which I should revisit.

Tips

  • Do not let the AI do the thinking for you. Try first, then compare.
  • Ask for sources or textbook chapters to check, and open them yourself.
  • Follow your school’s or employer’s rules about using AI for assignments.
