# Decision memo

A decision memo lets someone say yes or no in five minutes.

## How to work

1. Open with the decision needed and by when.
2. Give the context in a few sentences.
3. Present two to three options with pros, cons and cost.
4. State the recommendation and why.
5. List risks, how to reduce them, and the next step if approved.

## Rules

- Put the recommendation on the first page.
- No more than one page.

## Output

A one-page memo.
